How to teach kids telling the time in a fun way? Playing a game of course!
But first things first… Let’s draw a big clock and explain the rules. It’s essential to teach children new information in parts. That’s why we are going to start from the right (using PAST form) and then add the information on the left (with TO). Write different times on the board and elicit them in English to practise a bit more.
And now let’s prepare the game! Children love making crafts, so it’s a great opportunity to let them prepare this activity on their own. 
Hand out two sheets of coloured paper, for instance one white and one blue, to each pair of students. They divide and cut each paper into eight squares. Later, dictate eight different times to pupils. On the white cards they write each time in words and on the blue ones they draw clocks. You guessed! It’s a matching game.
Let’s play! In pairs, pupils put their cards face down on the table and mix them around. They take turns to turn over one white and one blue card and say what time it is on each card aloud. If they match and the student has said them correctly, he/she keeps the pair. If the pupil has made a mistake or there is no match, the cards go back to where they were face down again. The game continues until there are no more cards to match. There is also a possibility of playing in groups of four to make the game a bit more complicated.

¿Qué hora es?
¿Cómo enseñar a los niños a decir la hora de una manera divertida? ¡Jugando por supuesto!
Pero lo primero es lo primero… Vamos a dibujar un reloj grande y explicar las reglas. Es esencial enseñar a los niños nueva información en partes. Por eso que vamos a empezar desde la derecha (usando la forma PAST) y luego agregar la información a la izquierda (con TO). Escribe diferentes horas en la pizarra y exígelas en inglés para practicar un poco más.
Y ahora ¡vamos a preparar el juego! A los niños les encanta hacer manualidades, por lo que es una gran oportunidad para que preparen esta actividad por su cuenta. Distribuye dos hojas de papel coloreado, por ejemplo una blanca y otra azul, a cada par de estudiantes. Los alumnos dividen y cortan cada papel en ocho cuadrados. Más tarde, dicta ocho horas diferentes a los alumnos. En las tarjetas blancas escriben cada hora en palabras y en las azules dibujan relojes. ¡Lo has adivinado! Se trata de un juego de unir parejas.
¡Vamos a jugar! En parejas, los alumnos ponen sus cartas boca abajo sobre la mesa y las mezclan. Se turnan para dar vuelta a una tarjeta blanca y otra azul y decir qué hora es en cada tarjeta en voz alta. Si las tarjetas coinciden y el estudiante lo ha dicho correctamente, él/ella se queda con la pareja. Si el alumno ha cometido un error o no hay pareja, las cartas vuelven a su sitio boca abajo. El juego continúa hasta que no haya más cartas que coincidan. También existe la posibilidad de jugar en grupos de cuatro para hacer el juego un poco más complicado.
